80. clear the snow off sidewalks, too

Posted in infrastructure, sidewalks, transportation by Jason West on June 11, 2009

Have the village Department of Public Works and the Town Highway Department clear sidewalks of snow as well as the streets. Why subsidize cars and not pedestrians?  This eliminates the problem of elderly residents unable to clear their sidewalks in a timely manner, as well as the problem of multiple passes by the plows re-burying freshly cleared sidewalks.
